This AU takes place on old territory because I used to roleplay on old territory so often lal..

Torpedo is Misaki! (Torpedo is an old timey term for an assassin.) They're a barn cat who is "hired" (paid through treats) to kill rats and other such animals that get in the barn. (Torpedo is meant to be a munchkin cat.) I just thought this was the cuter version. Alternatively Torpedo is similar to warriorclan warriors where they'll be a kittypet at night but during the day will be "hired" (paid through fresh-kill) to go hunt cats that have wronged any of the clans.

Serpenttail is V! He's a Loner who originally resided in Windclan before taking off and becoming a loner who lives near the barn. (Serpenttail is meant to be a Devon rex with an elongated face)

Carrion is Ronin! He was originally a kittypet that was until somebody somebody closed to him died then he ran away to join Bloodclan. (Carrion is meant to be a tuxedo cat aka bicolor)

Dreamquill is my S/I aka alter synlis! He's a dog that often came up with elaborate stories in his mind about the cats that lived around his house. One day the door was left open and he escaped eventually meeting up with all the others. He's trying his best to pretend to be a cat and he thinks he has them convinced but I don't think he does.. (Dreamquill is meant to be a sighthound such as a silken windhound or a borzoi!)

Roseheart is Angel! She's a Thunderclan warrior who is very popular with the cats in her clan. She has a lot of toms and shes who want to be her mate but she often ignores them as she isn't ready to reveal what she gets up to night. which is killing duh. (Roseheart is supposed to be like a persian and scottish fold mix and maybe some maine coon? Basically she's a mutt.)

The dark forest is where they meet up.

since my DC binge, i went back to ff.net just to scope around and see if i could find my old favs. luckily i managed to find some of them crossposted to AO3 and follow the authors' new works there, but it was hard going back in time and seeing so many authors i adored who were just... gone. one of my favorite authors, someone who honestly contributed a lot to my writing style regarding mystery and slow-burn thriller, had passed away.

obviously we never met and im not even sure i left comments on their stuff (i was pretty shy about it) but i raved about their stuff for weeks. i still remember it being the highlights of my month years ago. parasocial relationships yes yes yes, but seriously. the joy i get from getting emails after years, or seeing someone move their account and getting to see them interact again... it's not unnoticed!
