I’ve noticed there’s a petition going around about http://fanfiction.net “changing” and taking down many M rated stories and the like. I’d like to point out that http://fanfiction.net’s guidelines have been the same since I joined as well as their ratings. M is specifically stated as being not suitable for children or teens below the age of 16 with non-explicit suggestive adult themes, references to some violence, or coarse language. It also states IN THE SAME PARAGRAPH that detailed descriptions of physical interaction of sexual or violent nature is considered Fiction MA which they have NEVER allowed on their site. They are cleaning house because people have disregarded this rule, posting violent and sexually explicit stories under the M rating which is not allowed. On that note, if you do not like that they are deleting sexual and violent oriented stories, there is http://adultfanfiction.net.
