This is bullshit.
Those fucking stupid cancer statuses on facebook. The ones that go like this:
Stupid cancer. We all want a new car, a new phone. A person who has cancer only wants one thing .. To survive. I know that a lot of you "who think your too cool" probably won't re-post this. But a very little amount of my friends will. Put this on your wall in honor of someone who has died of cancer, survived, or who is fighting against it now
I mean no disrespect to anyone who has cancer. Honestly. I have known people with it, I've known people who've died from it - it's ridiculously sad. Honestly.
But people with cancer want MORE than to survive. They want to LIVE. They want to make things out of their lives, they want to create, they want to have fun with their friends, they want to have a family, they want to study. They want to have lives. THEY ARE NOT DEFINED BY THEIR CANCER. [or any other life threatening or terminal illness].
Secondly, posting this can not only make one feel victimized, it doesn't change anything. Making people who don't repost it feel guilty doesn't help people with cancer at all. It's a guilt trip into making a chain status famous.
If you care, donate money to cancer or do some volunteer work in hospitals. But these bullshit chain statuses are not cool.

I hate when I see a chain post on facebook that goes
"So, there was dis gurl lyk she culdnt get a dollie so lyk she asked gawd for monehz to get teh dolzz cus momma was lyk "bitch u cnt get dis we got no monay for te dawllz. den moneh apured and lyk sh3 g0t teh doll an lyk yeeyeyyey happey. TWO WEEKS LATER SHE WAS KILLED BY A DRUNK DRIVER. REPOST IF YOU TEARED UP AND FELT EMOTIONAL, OR IGNORE THIS AND BE A HUGE PRICK."
And I usually want to post tl;dr, but when I usually feel like an ass.
Then I realised they posted something that took up two pages of my facebook.
Then I don't feel bad.
