#chagani

A few weeks ago, I visited the lovely city Londen. And one thing I love to do when I visit another city, is to go to a museum. Especially in GB, ‘cause many of them are free. So yeah, I went to Tate, and to the Victoria & Albert Museum. And in that last one, there was a short film about Noor Ali Chagani, a Lahore-based artist, who totally amazed me. This is what V&A Museum said about it:

Close to the Skin is a display and short film by our previous V&A Jameel Resident Noor Ali Chagani. It will be on display in Gallery 47 c for one week only (until 1 March) so do come by and see the work Chagani produced during his residency.

Chagani will also be speaking at our conference The Many Careers of John Lockwood Kipling this Saturday. We will trace Lockwood’s contributions, as an artist, writer, museum director, and founder of the National College of Arts, Lahore, where Chagani attended as an art student.
