Thematically, this is one of the most important things Luffy says in the entire series, and Oda emphasizes it by having the panel take up a full third of the page and being entirely focused on Luffy and no one else.

It's also interesting when looking at this whole conversation that Rayleigh isn't actually looking at Robin. They're talking with one another, but he's very deliberately facing a different direction than she is.

This fits well with the revelation that Luffy's ultimate dream is more than just being the Pirate King. If that was the only thing his heart was set on there's no reason to say no spoilers like this, but to Luffy the journey is just as important as the destination.

This scene is important for a bunch of different reasons, but I cannot get over how fucking ominous Oda has Rayleigh look with the anime glasses shine. Just an excellent way to obfuscate his expression since you can't see his eyes.
