I am a sucker for shadow based powers, and I love it when Moriah breaks out more traditional shadow abilities. The doppelgänger and brick bat attacks are really neat and gives some insight how he might have fought prior to relying on zombies.
Also, that Moriah face is exquisite.
The Moriah fight has such a different vibe than a lot of other Big Bad fights. He spends so much of his time basically trolling the Straw Hats, and while that can make certain sections feel less epic than, say, the Lucci or Crocodile fights, that variety is important to keep the series from getting stale.
This doesn't really jive with how powers are presented in the rest of the series. Time and again knocking out a DF user is enough to make them lose control of their power, but I suppose there's a chance Moriah's just lying. I do like that he's bragging about his control over his Devil Fruit when it's his eventual lack of control that will ultimately win the day
