Zoro addresses Tashigi as パクリ女/pakuri-onna, a play on the word パクリ屋/pakuri-ya but with 女/onna (‘woman’) substituted at the end.

Pakuri-ya means, a con-man, basically, or specifically someone who is committing fraud, often related to credit card/information theft. So he’s calling her like, a fraud/imposter/con artist. So big props to Tashigi for ignoring this completely.

仲間/nakama is a pretty important word throughout One Piece, which I’m pretty sure everybody knows. It’s not untranslatable by any means (it means ‘comrade’ or ‘teammate’) but I see the Japanese word being used more often than any English equivalent anyways- hell, I even do it in my posts.

What I like about Oda’s use of it, and the importance he gives this word in particular, is that the word isn’t just used by our main characters. Both protagonists and antagonists use it for their own friends and teammates, and it has a certain weight to it every time it’s used, whether for good or ill- I still remember very clearly Arlong asking Nami if she’s Luffy’s nakama or his. You get the sense that many of the characters in One Piece place just as much loyalty and importance on their comrades as the Strawhats do.
