Velvet finds herself on an infirmary bed. She can hear Weiss and Pyrrha talking.

Velvet pours what's left in her water jug onto the rag and holds it over her nose and mouth to block out the smoke. She closes her eyes to prevent them from watering further.

A voice calls out, asking for confirmation of her identity. Velvet sinks to her knees.

Due to the fact that Velvet's ear is burning, she forces herself not to answer--if she opens up her mouth, she'll scream.

Velvet stands in the middle of the flames. She wonders how she is still alive, and, more importantly, if any of her squad has made it.

She's faced with a tough decision--she can risk staying to search for her friends, which may cause her further injury, or she can run from the smoke and seek help.
