Re: Cancelled update: Sorry for the short notice and the missed update last Friday. A migraine knocked me out this last weekend and while stuck in my head I realized I have too much on my plate right now. Between that and health/medication concerns, a planning break is sorely needed before I can get back to work.

Re: Access requests closure: Due to the overly large backlog of access requests (which I also realized haven't been getting answered for the above reasons, sorry again!), we're temporarily closing access requests to work through everything that's built up. I estimate it'll take between 1–2 weeks to get through them all. Once that's done, we'll open access requests back up + make an announcement about it on all our social media.

Plot Summary

Hildy Doval is dead—and still unemployed.

Humanity wasn't quite ready for immortality, even in 3025. Ever since the Flicker/Helix company "cured" death with technologically advanced holographic hardware, flicker ghosts have been secondary citizens, lacking purpose and agency.

Spending her afterlife in a boarding house in Hypatia City, Hildy is the least-requested flicker-ghost at Carlotta Sun's Purgatory House for Spectral Services. At Carlotta Sun's, Hildy competes daily for ghost gigs against her more marketable housemates: the flighty musician Eyvind, desperate to compose the masterpiece he never got to in life, and Anjali, an imperious silent-film extra whose single surviving motion picture shot her to post-mortem stardom despite it being based on a lie.

Hey, guys, I think I'll go on a small hiatus on the fic until, at very least, January 7th, because of New Years and the planned trip with my family.

In meanwhile, I'll still try to make art and finish the first playlist for the AU! (Maybe I'll make a short comic, I wanted to do for awhile now)
