Smoking exhaust!?! So last week I took a 16 hour day in >90F heat, at on point going up hill for >15 miles I saw very high temps in oil and coolant, turned off the AC and started driving slower and temps returned to normal quickly no further thought until ... later that drive sitting at a drive through a lot of smoke occurred from my exhaust, enough to get into my windows!?! All I have been thinking about since then is blown head gasket? Piston rings destroyed? Turbo seal on my brand new x47r gone? Well I would like to blame this on my tuner @Brian Tyson, or the turbo supplier Tim Pwnall, or maybe the builder Mark Wadsworth Leak down test 3-5% across all cylinders, compression equal and above 150 on all cylinders. No pooling oil in the hot side pipe. The issue was a dirty breather, and oil catch can blow by, so what could have been weeks and >$2k in labor with out a car turned into a $50 part. Mad props to @jst_performance , @91fwdnightmare , @pwnall , and @pumaspeed ! The car is doing great, even better than expected! #FiSTofthePNW #410machinebuilt #jstuned #jstperformance #fordfeistast #pwnallperformance #pumaspeed #x47r #cobbtuning #tbperformanceproducts #mishimoto #cfmperformance #turbosmart #boombaracing #mountune #velossatechdesign #ozracingwheels #projectkics #ebcbrakes #falkintires #stoptechssbrakelines #rallysportdirect #cjponyparts #ford #fiestaST #1point6 #PullMeOverRed #FiSTofFury (at Tacoma, Washington)
