jealousy and intimidation is just the emotions vicente wants to strike in people so you have earned his respect and attention just for conforming to his expectations. and they can be friends, one can never have enough of those. probably not the one ceydran needs, but when has anyone in this circus done anything in their best interest.(plus it’ll be an excuse to talk about music - more than we already do.)

he doesn’t wait for a reply, merely steps ahead of the older man and hums under his breath, swinging around the lamp posts on the street. “i don’t mind sharing, really - unless you mean your snacks - that bland old crackers for your failing digestive system as you enter retirement kinda shit, right? that you can have on your own.” 

boy laughs too loudly, makes people turn to stare; has a smile on his lips that keeps them looking. he swings himself easily from the post to the man’s shoulders, pulling him close, keeping him steady.

there’s a moment of passed silence that is almost peaceful - a warning in itself, truly, given how it is a word that the boy likely has no concept of - where he’s still in his shuffling, no tugging of blankets, no cold feet pressed to skin -

- before boy turns too suddenly, pins bodies over the other’s not for strength, not for dominance, no - only to leave cold palms on exposed chests, only to trace cold, cold fingers over necks, thighs on waist. he smiles too widely, knows too well how the moon makes him look star-caressed in such positions.
