Eating right means eating healthy food such as whole grains, fruits and vegetables, and lean meats. You will be healthier and feel better (and look better) about your self if you eat right.
You need to eat a specific amount of calories in a day in order to perform your everyday tasks well. This specific amount of calories is computed (by a registered dietitian) in relation to your height, weight, the intensity of your physical activity within the day and medical condition/s (if you have one or some). The total amount of calories can be increased or decreased depending on whether you have to gain or lose weight.
The nutrients that you get from food make your body systems function properly. As you go about your daily tasks, the nutrients in your body deplete. That is why the nutrients that you get from these food must be replenished...by eating!
