what im also sayin is i dont think its most of these people's intention to be edgy the might just be so used to drawing a specific thing that they struggle with drawing something new so they dont get a certain body type down on the first try and get frustrated so they just draw how they usually do. if theyre tryin to be edgy then uh, well to those people i'll just say its best not to post it and just keep it to yourself

buddy its not like a few people interpreting or drawing a character a certain way is gonna erase or change what they are in canon. rest assured lovely purple chub is not gonna be harmed by a few drawings, and neither is any character. my concern is just that people are policing artistic freedom for their cause. don't get me wrong, your cause is great, but think back to the incident of a perticular artist being driven nearly to suicide over things like this. it's really not worth the outrage.

so just draw fat and stop taking a character’s trait that people really need, love, and connect to
it isn’t rocket science
unpopular opinion here, but i think people should be allowed their artistic freedom. if they wanna draw someone with a different body type than they actually have its not a huge deal. what is a huge deal is policing someone's art (but if theyre drawing something extremely fucked up they should probably just keep it to themselves) because it's different from the way that character or thing is usually drawn. (dont get me wrong though i love purple chub she cute)
