Ostensibly, the definition the in-group has for itself isn't particularly useful. It doesn't really matter whether or not "the gay community" views you as gay, but only that the out-group does. That's why defining demographics by in-group definitions isn't helpful - because the in-group's opinion doesn't matter! It doesn't matter whether "the gay community" says you are/aren't gay because the out-group is going to treat you based on their understanding of what "gay" is.
For some reason amazon charged me for something twice? Or at least placed two pending charges on my paypal account, which shot me from what I was supposed to be at, 90$, to -40$. Wtf
watching series 13 (only on episode 3, so no spoilers) and really my only gripe (well, one of my only two gripes) is that I really don't like Dan. They laid it on so thick with him that I was tired of his thing by the end of episode 1. "Oh, he works at a food bank and never takes any food from it despite starving! Oh, he gives free tours of a museum! He's a little bit daft, but has a heart of gold!! Don't you like him?! He's so kind and likeable!". He is literally just a caricature and an annoying one at that
Spoilers for BG3
That Raphael fight in act 3? Seriously one of the most fun fights in the entire game imao. Difficult, but not impossible, and extremely rewarding. The four pillars and the two phase fight, the custom music, Yughir, just, all of it. Definitely top 3 fights in the game so far
(I haven't completed act 3 yet, so no spoilers pls)

Azure has a fascinating etymology. It started off as a classic Persian word, lājward, meaning Lapis Lazuli. That then turned into the Arabic word lāzaward. The French then took that word and dropped the "L" as it's a common contraction (l'azure -> la azure), result in the old French word "azur", which turned into the middle English word "asure", and finally into the word "azure".
To be honest, the most fascinating part to me is the dropping of the L. It's such a perfect coincidence that the French borrowed this word and interpreted the "la" in it as "the". Amazing
I might be in the minority with this, but I personally cannot *wait* for the fallout of Ashton's actions in today's episode.
It's going to be so juicy
Well. I finished the latest episode. And I must say, a talking tree is literally the least interesting way this conflict could've been resolved. Seriously, a fuckin' tree acting as a DM-Proxy?
It isn't even that they chose to fight against Ludinus, it's that it was 1.) Decided for them and 2.) by a fucking tree.
C'mon, I can't be the only one who finds this deeply unsatisifying. Instead of coming to a strong resolution on their own through conversation and experience, they came to resolution because Matt used this dumb tree as a proxy to tell them what to do. I really don't know what could have been more unsatisfying
Edit: It also makes this decision wayyyy less impactful because they didn't really make this decision, now did they? It was made for them :T
