if fabric has a good texture, whether that’s on a blanket, a stuffed animal, a shirt, etc. I will run my fingers over it as much as I can

what I propose is that instead the events of uprising happen AFTER the events of legacy during a period between when tron is un-rinzlered and when sam really starts work on fixing up the grid. cause you have to imagine that if clu has this whole evil empire thing going on he would have some kinda back up or chain of command for if he got beansed, possibly to the point of having a repurposed program made into an image of himself to keep the facade of the empire going

so, clu gets yeeted, tron is back but injured from falling really far into the sea of simulation or maybe old injuries from dyson come back that dyson put in as a failsafe if ever tron’s rinzler-ification failed, sam and quorra are busy with outside world shit, some other program takes over clu’s empire with a repurposed program as a puppet leader, dyson becomes clu’s number 2, and tron goes to argon, kicking off the events of uprising

now, this leaves the one loose end of cyrus, and I think it would be fun if it were actually rinzler that cyrus interacted with, just undercover as an injured tron just after clu’s takeover to weed out any potential traitors early in clu’s reign

ok cool we’ve gotten timeline groundwork, where do we go from here? I say that after tron is healed, they go about fixing the grid and leading the uprising against “clu’s” armies, they find out that there’s a puppet and not actually clu in charge, there’s drama about tron figuring out that he was rinzler, beck and tron figure out what the name of tron means and how all that’s gonna work out with tron being back, and they eventually defeat the real leader of the clu’s armies and really fix the grid. whether or not they do this before sam and/or quorra coms back to the grid is unclear
