Hey everyone, It's been a while since my last post due to the fact that I've been busy with a new job and life but also because I've been actually working on several paintings at the same time - some of which will be for a solo exhibition that I will have at the Kelied gallery in September which will have a celestial/sci fi theme (will post an update about this again in the future). This work in progress is a preview of one of them that I'm currently working on - she is a type of humanoid alien creature. I love painting humanoid alien type characters as I think they are beautiful and interesting to paint. There are so many possible directions to go in with the design and I find that a lot of fun. I would also like to mention that I'm planning to perhaps move this blog to my website in the future and will try and post updates more often. I recently re-designed and coded my zazzle shop. I'ts just about finished now, I may or may not add more to it. Overall I am very happy with the way it turned out though I think now my zazzle store looks much better than both my website and blog. I guess it's time to work on my web and blog designs again. I want to completely re-do both now. Thanks for your visit :)

Hey everyone, :) Currently I have quite a few works-in-progress that I work into on and off during my free time and I thought I'd post this one up here on my blog. I actually started it quite a while ago and plan to work on it again soon. So far I think that this is the prettiest face that I have ever painted (will provide close-ups once it's done!). I'm still developing a story for her as the image evolves, there is still a whole lot of work to do but I'm happy with the way it's coming along. :) I also recently created a new promotional page for my artwork on Facebook. Hey everyone, :) I took some time this Sunday to paint a portrait of my Grandfather and thought I would post it up here on my blog. I may or may not include it in the digital gallery section of my website since it's so different from all of my other digital work. In the future I may add categories for my digital gallery. I was thinking about my grandfather a lot this weekend while packing boxes (I'm currently in the process of moving) and had to paint this portrait. I looked at an old photo of him that I love for reference. He was a wonderful grandfather and person. He told the best stories from his past and he lived an incredible life. I miss him so much. Here is yet another work-in-progress (titled "Forbidden Love") that I thought I would post here. I had started it as an entry to an art contest but couldn't find the time to finish it by the deadline. Aside from my busy work schedule I hope to find some time in the near future to finish it. There is still quite a bit of work needed to be done on this. I want to push myself farther with this one as I try to do with every new painting. The story behind this work is dear to my heart and relates to a big issue that the world faces today. They are a young couple who ran away together because their cultures and families won't accept them as a couple. They are both from different countries and religious backgrounds though their countries are right next to each other their families hate each other and will never let them be together. I wanted to capture a moment with them in a state of fear and bliss savoring every last moment that they have together before or if they ever are found.
