Idea: Since Gohma knows the twins' systems so well, she's able to bypass the barriers between the MRU universes, the Grid's systems, and the wider internet, so she can come and go as she pleases and even if they knew there wouldn't be anything they could do about it.
And then, to stir up trouble, she eventually decides to give the Syndicate that information so they can upgrade their portal technology, because a multiversal team of villains will not be so easily contained. And because most of these people are Not Subtle the Anchors find out about it and use Cosmo and Wanda to follow the group that goes through the initial test portal and stop them from wreaking some sort of havoc, because Fairy Magic OP even by Code standards.
And for a little extra fun, this coincidentally happens at around the same time as the "Ozzy reabsorbs Root and everyone's out for his blood" situation, and the random universe they travel to for the test run is the living version of Equestria where most of the action is going to be.
