In witchcraftâand lifeâthereâs this constant pull to be âon.â To glow like the full moon, to manifest nonstop, to hold space for everyone and everything. But thatâs not sustainable. And more importantly, itâs not required.
The moon, our sacred celestial sister, spends half her time in shadow. And yet no one questions her worth or her power. She wanes. She rests. She disappears entirely. And still, she returnsâjust as strong, just as revered.
So hereâs your lunar permission slip: You donât have to be full to be worthy. You donât have to be productive to be valid. You donât need to perform your healing to prove youâre trying.
For Mental Health Month, this is a gentle nudge from Morriganâs Crows to take your shadow days seriously. To honor them as sacred. To let them be what they areâquiet, tender, maybe even a little wild.
Weâre not meant to burn at both ends. Thatâs not the way of the witch. We ebb, we flow, we vanish, we return. Thatâs our power.
Let this post be your reminder that your magic still exists when youâre resting. Youâre still powerful in silence. Youâre still divine when youâre undone.
If today feels like a shadow day, wrap yourself in softness. Take one deep breath. Light a candle, or donât. Journal, cry, scream into a pillow, or nap through your to-do list. Itâs all valid. Itâs all witchcraft in its own way.
The moon rests. So can you.
