don't get me wrong, they're adorable! it's just what they're programmed to say in new leaf, it really bugs me. i'll dump a little rant under a readmore.
i mean they're adorable otherwise, but it makes me mad to hear Hopper telling Caroline that just because she's a girl she doesn't understand sports, and because she only watches a sport therefore he's right, she's just a girl and not tough enough to play a sport, and she walks away all depressed, and i won't stand for that at all. i hear enough of it in real life, i don't want it in my little happy sanctuary of my town.
i mean, i've had Gaston, Static, Admiral, and many others; i loved those guys, they were really nice when you got to befriending them!
but i don't like how they're programmed in new leaf to say degrading things, and while i wanted ones like Kabuki and O'Hare, once i found out some of the stuff they said, i just don't want my opinion of them to be tarnished. i can take arguments due to personality differences, like lazies being picked on for jocks for not wanting to exercise, or snooties picking on others' clothes, etc etc, but once you start bullying my babies over ridiculous things like gender, i really have to put my foot down. maybe they said stuff like that back then too, i just don't remember, i'm more aware of it nowadays.
