Godmodding is NOT allowed. If a para was never done for something please be sure to clearly communicate with the other person to agree on what would have happened. Assuming you know what happened and posting that on the dash without the other person's approval is not okay. Do not assume to know how another character feels towards yours or acted towards yours if there was not a para done or an OOC conversation.

This is a general reminder/warning to everyone (we have seen it on the dash recently) and if it continues we will issue strikes to players directly.

Since day one of this group there has always been mandatory tasks and events. In the very beginning there was a new task AND event every month. I believe it was the year of 2016 Admins Lena, Elle and myself had the entire year planned by the end of 2015. We were so excited for all the things we planned and by the end of 2016 participation had started to dwindle. Every year since the amount of tasks and events we do has gone down and every time we do try to plan something people are either taking hiatus’ or not finishing things they start or just not posting event stuff. I know I am guilty of this as well in recent times. 

I’m trying to figure out where to go from here when it comes to tasks and events. I could think of things for us to do. Ideas I’ve had for years that other admins hadn’t wanted to do that I’ve always wondered if the players would actually enjoy it, things past admins have suggested we hadn’t gotten a chance to do yet, and I’m also open to suggestions. 

However, as I am the only admin now and real life is chaotic I don’t want to spend a whole bunch of time on something if the group as a whole isn’t going to participate. I was thinking of making a poll but I’d rather hear from everyone directly. I’m asking EVERYONE to message into this page through the IM feature and let me know your thoughts/feelings/concerns/suggestions on tasks and events for the future. 

If we do plan on doing an event soonish I don’t want it to be too soon and rush to plan. I was thinking we could do a Christmas event, New Years event or Valentines event. Or we could do nothing at all and just play our storylines. 

I don’t want to call this a task but it kind of is. I really need to hear from everyone ASAP.

Going into 2020 we will now be offering an OPTIONAL new way to earn points and rewards. We will now offer every player an additional 500 points on their birthday, if they choose to share it with us, as well as other rewards. You will also have the option to have your birthday 100% private, just for the rewards blogs eyes, or have the main page make a happy birthday announcement when your day comes. We know that some people like more privacy than others when it comes to OOC life, which is why this is optional. If you would like to be added to the birthday rewards list please fill out the following form and submit it to us here at the rewards blog. Any forms sent to the main will be asked to resubmited to the rewards blog.

1 line jump pass (if you request a plot and we ask you to wait because of a waiting list you can message in and use your pass and be moved to the top of the list. please note that we will ask the person who’s really next in line if they mind waiting but we don’t want to punish anyone, especially if they’re doing something time sensitive, so it’s possible both plots will go on at the same time. we will gladly offer the person who’s really next in life some points for the inconvenience of having to share a time slot if it becomes a problem.)

We want to know how you’re enjoying your time here in Carpe Diem and if there’s anything we can do to make your stay even better. Are there tasks or events you’d like to see the group do? Are you having issues with anything and haven’t had the nerve to send in an OOC problem form? Are you satisfied with the group and just want to tell us good job? These are the few days where you can send us all the CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM you’d like. 

Before we officially open for claims here’s some important information everyone should know. 

Your unique jury code doesn’t show up anywhere. All it does is allow you to submit your vote to the polling site. All votes are 100% anonymous. 

On all voting polls there will be an “undecided” option for those who don’t feel comfortable voting on a particular case or can’t make a decision. 

This is a beta page. We’re going to see how it works out for a few months and if it’s not going well it will be removed. 

This page was designed to prevent ooc problems from happening. If two people or two characters aren’t able to come to an agreement with something on their own we feel it’s better to have the group vote than to have two players fight or have their ooc relationship get strained. 

This group is partially closed/private

We are not actively posting for new members and we are only accepting certain apps.

Because we are partially closed/private if we don't accept your application that is the reason why. We are not engaging in conversation with people. Especially if they're associated with any PSA blogs.

We do not respond to OOC messages sent to our character accounts that relate to the main page.

We do not respond to harassing messages in IM or our ask box.

OOC posts are not permitted on our dashboard. If someone sends you an OOC anon ask please delete it. If there's a reason you think it should be answered/posted please ask the admins first.

After much consideration of different ideas a decision has been reached on the future of the group. Obviously it would be nice to have more members and have a more active dash but real life is hard and there isn't enough time in the day to sustain that here. Having a place to play when there is time in your schedule has become the normal over the years and it's time to embrace that and stop putting expectations on everyone that we can't commit to. There's not a lot of change, but here's what's happening going forward because this isn't a "normal" roleplay group and some things need to be explained:

All active history will continue to stay. Active history means that someone part of the storyline/plot is still in the group and using the history. If everyone involved in a plot is no longer in the group then the history erases. Plot changes are allowed when all participants of the plot agree, or if you're the only one left from a plot and wish to change some of it to move forward without the other person/people.

We will no longer be actively posting for people to come join the group. If you need someone specifically for a plot you can let us know and we can make posts about that. Maybe once in awhile you may see us make a post looking for people to join, but because we are a history based RP with many celebs now whoever joins the group has to be okay with the history before being accepted.

Activity checks will resume once a month starting in January. If someone hasn't been active in 4+ weeks they will be put on warning and if someone hasn't been active in 8+ weeks they will be removed. We have a list of players who are grandfathered in, who won't be removed as long as they're staying in contact with us OOC and we have a way to contact them off of Tumblr (facebook, instagram, snapchat, phone number, ect) If you would like to be on that list you can contact us and as always if you need a hiatus you can submit the hiatus form.

We are still going to try to do events here and there but with the lack of interest in most of them we'd rather not waste so much time planning them if nobody is going to participate. If you would like your characters to host events the main puts on please let us know.

Things in this group have been and will remain lax. Everyone has a real life to live, a job, a family in some way and responsibilities. We're not going to pressure anyone to be on if they can't be. We're not going to punish people for not being able to be on every day.

If you are in the group though, or if you do end up joining the group, we do ask that you post and reply to starters, that you para with other characters, if you have characters who would know each other in real life have them interact sometimes, and please try to include everyone. Most importantly please give everyone respect and patience.

ALL history stays in this group. That has been a rule since day 1. It's never been a secret. It's a group rule to keep things fair to the players who have been in this group long term who have spent literal years invested in story lines. The only time history can be erased or changed is if all players/characters in a plot line have left the group or if they agree to change it and a plot change post is made from the main page. This group will be 10 years old in February, that's 10 years of history. In real life we can't just erase things that have happened. It is not realistic. We normally try to tell you the history before your application/follow is accepted/posted but in the rare case we can't get you the history at that point we get it to you shortly after you start playing. You always have the choice whether to accept the history and continue playing or to turn the character down. We apologize for any inconvenience this causes with new players, but this group respects the long term plot lines of our long term players. Also, if ONE more private conversation between me and another player ends up on the PSA blog I'm removing everyone in the group who I don't personally know in real life. I will close the group to any new applicants and we'll play as is. The drama and harassment is uncalled for and I've had ENOUGH.
