Sorry for the spam today! I just had some EWCM, I got sort of panicky and took an OPK (negative). We haven’t had sex in almost a week, so I was worrying about a late ovulation. Even though I had I positive OPK the 14th.
Then I did some research. Apparently EWCM occurs as a response to the increased estrogen level you get before ovulation. When the uterus prepares for implantation about a week after ovulation, you get another (smaller) increase in estrogen. When this happens, you might notice a second patch of EWCM.

Unnecessary symptom spotting: still crampy around left ovary but less today, felt nauseated but probs because I didn’t have dinner yesterday, sore nipples and sore left sideboob 💁🏼

So, I've only got two OPKs left. I had planned on ordering some right away this cycle but with my grandma passing and the emotions surrounding that, I haven't? I'm just going to do the sex every other day thing for this cycle and just let whatever happens, happen. Which makes me slightly uncomfortable because I have that appointment with the OBGYN coming up in a while here and I'd like to have that information. But whatever. If I've learned anything over the past (nearly) two years it's that one cycle doesn't make or break you. They're all the same in the end anyway - a period. Sex: CD(s) 5, 7, 9. Of course planning on it today after Stephen gets home. I'm going to use the OPKS on the afternoons of 16 & 17 just to see if I can catch a surge by chance. Chances of that are pretty unlikely though since you can see so much change within just a few hours sometimes. My heart just isn't in it with everything I'm working through mentally. And I know that's okay. At least it should be. But I just need something good to happen. So here I am. Trying when I don't think I can take any more pain.
