taemin was an asshole and sometimes didnāt play nice to his teammates, but that didnāt mean he never helped them from time to time, in the times where things seemed dire or meant one of his team would die as a result. so when heād caught wind of what was going on, he knew it was time to suck in his pride and be there for his comrades, his friends.
Ā in all honesty he wasnāt sure how this had happened. how the league and all of the hero organisations let the hanged man take control and kill thousands of rookies. they called it the rookie massacre, and it was a war that was far from over.Ā it made his blood boil not only at the hanged man and those who had chosen to side with him but every damn person that let this happen in the first place. he had to be on his guard more now then ever, but all he wanted to do was get a good nights sleep and some decent food with minji and jongin. bravely - or rather stupidly, heād decided to go on a walk in the hopes it would cheer him up a little and keep him awake.Ā
it was working, to an extent. but he could feel the tiredness in his eyes, feel how occasionally his eyes would droop as he dragged his feet around the park.Ā
despite the messed up things that were happening the lake looked serene. as if none of the chaos had ever happened and everything was back to normal. the moon glistening and the stars twinkling against the soothing ripples of the water. taemin had to stop and stare for a while, eyes lingering on the reflections and thinking back to more happier times. times where for once he was actually having fun and not pressured to be the best he could be and always alert.carrying on his walk, he came to the bridge in the park. it had become his space over the years. a place where if things got too much or he wanted to hide from the overbearing nannies and butlers heād go to. dragging his sorry ass back to them before too long. tonight it had become a place that brought back memories, some painful some better. some where heād just listen to music and drown out the world (he was human too after all.)Ā
theres a smile on his face but it doesnt last for long. not when theres a figure stood up ahead.Ā he tries his best to make out who the figure was. eyes squinting in the hopes it would make things better but it didnt. his feet move before he realises and heās moving to get a better view. a mans figure coming into view. āmarkā he finds himself calling out, more so out of habit than anything else. his eyes focus on the man before him. calling out his name once more, just to make sure that it really was him.
āwhat are you doing here?ā
