So this guy right here...lemme just jump in... when God called Abram to pick up his whole life and family and move to a place that God wanted him, Abram did it with out hesitation. I would love to know if he grumbled along the way. When God told Abraham to sacrifice Isaac, Abraham, with out a blink Abraham prepared to do so. When God called Moses to lead Gods people out of slavery... Moses did. It was hard but he did it. So many times the Lord calls us to do something and we shut him down so fast because we know it’s out of our comfort zone. We know that on our own we can’t do it... but with faith we CAN. Last my son and I concluded our first year in CC. A homeschool co op that God lead us to. ( It’s our second year homeschooling) I was encouraged, blessed and loved on during this year. It was tough. I’m not gonna lie, CC toutiring your first year when you know nothing about how it all works was hard...and my son, had a hard time too. His was more finding his way they the already established relationships of kids that had been on this journey for years. Joe took to the academic side of CC like a house on fire. As the weeks rolled into the second semester something happens to both of our hearts. We began to LOVE CC. So much so that I’m giddy for August to come around and to start. Tonight as joe received his certificate of completion and presented his tri fold project of art and favorite history sentence I watched from afar as other parents took Interest in his work and asked him questions. He answered them with grace and confidence...I was so happy. My heart leapt for him, it leapt for the commitment we made, it leapt for all the kids in our class and it leapt for his future. This community and this program was way out of our comfort zone and we saw Gods mighty hand in it. I’m so thankful for answering His calling and literally stretching myself. Our community is breaking up and Joe and I are joining a new one in August, we will start fresh and navigate our way thru new faces and personalities.
