Household Statistics
The brief for this project was to use something you are studying to inform your photos. Inspired by my statistics papers, I set about photographing items I found in my family home. I wanted to take mundane objects and try and give them more meaning by grouping them.
If I were to continue this project, I would focus on the bread tags and see what other ways I could arrange them - such as by day, colour, and year.

Now what?
One of the features of my analogue photos that was really successful was the double exposing to get the iPod and the ground in the image. This is the one thing that is really missing from my digitally recreated photos so I want to try and add that in (I figure there's an app for everything so there must be one for mimicking the double exposure effect).
One of the groups I posted some images in was specifically made for people to try and guess whether images were really lomo or not (but no comments on any of my photos yet).
Another lomo group required a moderator to approve your image before it was added, but there haven't been any new photos for a few days so my photo may not get looked at before this assignment is due.
I also figured out a way of posting my photos without the metadata giving them away as digitally captured - by posting screenshots of the photos and then changing the settings of each photo so that they don't appear with a 'screenshot' label
Looking at what I have produced for the assignment so far, I most like the analogue vs digital comparisons I have made. I tried to experiment physically with the film a bit, but I don't feel the images I created through that were interesting so I will continue trying to recreate analogue photos through mobile means instead.
To take that a step further, I will find Flickr groups that are specifically for analogue lomo images and post my mobile ones in there - to see if anyone notices, and how they react if they do notice.
