Interdisciplinary Arts MFA students Jillian Bruschera, Amy Leners, and Chelsey Shilling lead a workshop at North Branch Projects Wednesday, June 18. Moveable Feast: A Playshop about Home and Food is a collaboration between the Illinois Humanities Council, the Center for Book and Paper Arts, and North Branch Projects. Inspired by two recent IHC events—Home Again: Stories of Migration and The Frying Pan Stories: Pages Ripped From Our Cookbooks—this event made space for conversation and a community art project about the intersection of our homes, identities, and food.
Participants constructed community cookbooks using handmade paper spiced with tumeric and nutmeg.
