1.) Original

Good ol’ kitty Icestar! Not much to say on this one lol

2.) Pokémon

This was probably the easiest one to do, as a Pokémon that proceeds disaster is very fitting for him. This was made even better when I realized that a shiny absol is red :D This made me think of how Caterpillarpaw would also be an Abosl, which isn’t as fitting but oh welll

3.) Moutain Hare

I was going to do a bunny but Hare’s have a bit more of an intense look to them so I pivoted. After looking at several species I learned about the Moutain Hare, which grows and sheds its winter coat, and I saw some pictures of the hare in the transitional shedding phase which reminded me of Icestar’s coat.

4.) Digimon

As a big Digi-head, I was initially nervous at the idea of finding one to fit Icestar. I felt like Renamon was fitting and then remembered that it can digivolve into Taomon! :D I think for the most part any creature that is stoic / intense looking can be Icestar.

5.) The Amazing Digital Circus

As StarClan’s strongest soldier I thought It’d very fitting to have Icestar become a plastic army man in the Digital Circus. Not quite sure how’d he actually do in there, you’d think he would be too put together to not abstract. On the other hand I feel like he’d be the one no one expects to but idk.

6.) Maned Wolf

This choice was largely inspired from a Clangen event that happens where a patrol can encounter a Maned Wolf. Fun fact - Ghost Patrol was based off of that event occurring in-game for PosyClan, but I later changed it to be a funky looking buck :D For this and the hare I tried doing a painterly style. Not quite sure if I was able to pull it off, but it was a fun experiment.

7.) Honey Bee

Like previous choices I wanted to find something that while cute looking looked a bit off. For this one I looked at bees that looked a bit more like a wasp, and settled on Honey Bee. For this one I tried a watercolor style, didn’t like how it turned out and could’ve used more black but eehhhh it’s all good lol.
