Hey, anyone out there have some knowledge or examples of Metis communities that are relatively active and successful outside of Federal funds? Myself and another youth are looking into ways to bring our community some consistency and ways to offer programming without depending on the Federal governments funding. Personally I feel like the new "conditions" are a bit bullshitty but as long as the possibility of funding is there, I'm happy.
The Federal government cut Aboriginal youth programming across Canada. It is not a nation priority yet Aboriginal youth are the fastest-growing demographic. The Aboriginal labour force is expected to grow twice as fast as the rest of Canada's labour force in the next decade, so they will be an important part of the province and country's future economic growth. There is no better way to say "Happy Aboriginal Day"
