I've been thinking about s5 a lot. (given that it's basically the last bit of content for camp camp with the show anyway) And honestly? I actually do like a lot of aspects about that season.

The first episode was honestly so good and a great start to the season after season 4. Max still being upset with the change that's happening (which is even MORE prominent given that season seems to have a large focus on puberty and identity), the characters being really well written and relatable, the problems that go on seem very VERY real and hits home. I also really like what's going on in "the talk" episode. Nikki, Ered, and Nerris going through dysphoria (idk if so much Nerris, but maybe), and on the other side, they're learning absolute bullshit or just don't really care.

I really enjoy Max's character a lot in s5. I think they did an amazing job with him, and I'm really interested to see his arc within the season and how he'll react to everything the season's about since he told david himself that he would rather be at camp than at home and how Neil points out that Max is genuinely more engaged and happy to be at camp in some way. (Too bad we are most likely never getting that 😂😂😂😂✌️)

To me, his character is very damn relatable of how he acts. I legit was tweaking when I first watched s5 cause of how similar I acted to Max. I thought parents' day and other episodes were relatable, but DAMN.

A few things that I don't like about s5 is one, the two filler episodes. I don't think I wanted to watch Neil, Max, and Harrison go bald over lice, but okay sure. And with the one where Nikki, David, and Gwen get stuck in the cave, it's fine. I don't really have much to say about the episode 😭 And second, the lack of episodes. Now don't come after me, I know that roosterteeth wasn't able to produce more episodes given the shutdown of their company and whatnot, but being stuck in the middle of the season (probably not even) and having it be the one where everyone goes bald because of lice is frying me..

Also, with the change of the voice actors, I actually don't mind it, and from the shows point of view, it can make sense. The campers are going through puberty, and with Gwen, she lost her voice cause she IS yelling too much 😂✌️

OK OK so, first off. Herneval goes '150 years down the drain'. What does Frankelda, a smart and capable woman, do?

Count with her fingers. And people wonder why I love her.

Adorableness aside, I noticed she started counting with her thumb, which might not be as odd in other places but in México it's way more common for people to start with the index, in the USA fashion. I only ever saw people start with the thumb in, for instance, my mom's hometown that had a relatively recent french population.

As we see here, it's very common in Europe, though. Word of god by the Ambriz bros is Frankelda's father came from England, fell in love with a local and had her. It's a neat little detail that I think points to her father having been active in her education at one point, before she was left in her grandmother's care. Although...

Fun Fact: Blonde hair is my least favorite color to render. It never fails to have overly light patches in all the wrong places. Either it’s in the parted area or the sides. And it always irks me because that means repeatedly having to go back to its original color (brown) to correct it and having to change the color back to blonde until everything is right. Because you can’t go forward until it looks right in blonde color; it’s the basis of every shade after it including salt and pepper hair.

I’m extremely concerned for the wellbeing of the camp, campers, Gwen, and David. I have so many thoughts going through my mind about tomorrow that I have to talk about it!!! Sorry if it’s kind of scattered-

In S307, David says to Max, "Despite everything we've been through this summer, you're still here.". In the context of which this was given, it has the implications that they are either halfway through the summer, or it's getting close to the end.

With the camp being sold (without David's permission, nonetheless--which is big, since the show has seemed to paint him as second in command JUST below Cameron), on top of the summer ending, this could mean all of the kids will be sent home early. We could possibly see Max's parents at this point, if he even HAS any.

Or, even worse, while we’re on this topic; the camp could’ve been bought by a corporate. 

This could mean intense modernizing of everything, (I.E.; removing the nature out of camp), or someone abusive buying it. If the kids aren't sent home early, we could see them all attempting to save the camp again.

If they ARE sent home, we may see Max get it back into David’s possession/find a loophole to do so.

We'll also be forced to see how David reacts to Gwen selling the camp without his input. To me, this was out of character for her; especially after everything they did to SAVE the camp earlier in the season, and after she blatantly stated in S109; "(...)I am NOT... moving back in with my parents.", this didn’t seem like something she would do. 

HOWEVER; that was two seasons ago, and due to financial strain, and the build up of the stress we’ve seen her go through, this might have been the best option while under pressure in a meeting. Either/or, she was offered a new job.

While I’m mentioning this, I also need to point out that selling the camp does not mean that they'll be fired, but it's highly likely, as they're not getting new management, it was sold. With a new owner, this could mean an entire overhaul of the camp; new employees, remodeling, expanding, ect.

Aggghh I don’t know, I can’t wait much longer for the finale. I know it’s just a few hours but I’m super anxious about it ;~;

TL;DR: The camp could have been bought by a corporate, which could mean the camp being overhauled/remodeled/destroyed. If not, the new owner may do the same thing. We may get to see the campers and/or Max help David regain possession of the camp.
