Here is the pronouns clip. Posted two days ago, although technically it's from eight months ago, and people did speak up in the discord at the time
Ooh, okay, was there a statement given at the time that you know of, or did Impulse try to brush it under the rug without an apology? Sorry I don't have an account there, so it's only showing me the screenshot right now.
It's awesome that people spoke up about this at the time, although I wish I'd have heard about this when it happened.
That changes a couple things in my statement, though I still stand by it.
If it was brushed under the rug by Impulse, and it's from that long ago, there is a very real chance that at the time he thought pronouns were divisive and so that's the word he used for the question. Now, 8 months later, the clip is making the rounds again and he may have learned more about the trans community in that time and offered a genuine apology for what he said in the clip.
This doesn't erase the hurt that was done by this, but I also think allowing for people to grow is a good thing.
One other thing that concerns me about the clip is that Skizz's reaction to that comment, from what I've seen, is pretty similar to his recent reactions to saying trans rights and getting rid of MAGA mods.
