look i'm not saying i'm just saying that if the hockey yaoi were a cdrama, we'd have had fully half a dozen entire games by now. with suggestive muttered asides during furious ice combat and violent yet erotic hockeying movements, possibly involving wirework, to show the precise vicious nature of the Heated Rivalry. we would all know all the rules of the hockey. also there would be parents who are even less sympathetic and probably know and dislike each other, at least one entangled and emotionally fraught shifu relationship, painfully straight bestie falling in embarrassing love with plucky female sports reporter, and most of all a nonzero chance that someone would have gotten hit in the face with a puck and coughed blood romantically before fainting into his enemy's arms. i'm real glad north america has its first BL but someone needs to be taking notes here
