Getting closer
Thanks to the wonderful person who donated I was able to order some better quality primer, and I should be getting my hands on some clay relatively soon. If all works well (found some very promising epoxy), I should be able to make all the promised improvements/finishing touches and still string my boy to show him to you :) He'll be gray now, maybe a less human color but oh so much more aesthetically pleasing than yellow-brown (that paint is called beige and supposedly a slightly yellow flesh tone... yeah, right. Never trust car paint, guys ;P ) In other news, the amount of clay I'll get should be more than enough to finish doll number two, Monique. So, you can look forward to that. I'll probably be showing her body first because I think I want to redo the head completely, modding it just won't cut it for me. So, one 58cm female body coming right up! :) In the meantime I'm planning on putting together some text posts, including a big clay review. There's plenty of those out there but all seem to be for people who make charms and food miniatures. If you're lucky you can find some aimed at sculptors but they never cover the things that are important for BJD makers. Oh, I'm planning to include homemade clays so those of you guys on a budget should like that :)
