How do bartolomeo and Cavendish treat her?
So I wrote a thing on BartolomeoĀ here!
So for this ask Iāll answer on Cavendish?
Cabbage is terribly used to the ladies all fawning over him, so I want to say that affects how he expects Luffy to act, but the difference between canon is less than you might expect. Because, well, in canon he willfully deludes himself into thinking Luffyās his fan anyway....so I mean ^ ^;;
That being said, I think heād be much more eager to put on a gallant Prince on a White Horse show for aĀ ābeautiful delicate maiden,ā swooping in to scoop Luffy up and calling her,Ā āPrincess,ā and expecting dramatic swooning into his arms.
The fact that Lu just grins and says, āThanks Cabbage!ā without giving any further shits REALLYĀ throws him off.
Cavendish doesnāt need to workĀ for attention from ladies. Heās showered in it. Everyone loves him. Heās beautiful, goddamit! A rude, uncultured boy is one thing--but a lovely mermaid treating him this way??? When he, the handsomest blond noble ever and she, the mermaid princess of his heart, would make such a dashing pair--
Whatās a dashing pair? Luffy asks.
He means us, I agree, we do look great together, nods Sabo.
No, not him! Wait what! That blondieās a noble too?! Since when does Cavendish need to deal with competition? So what the Revolutionaryās not terrible-looking, but this is Cavendish--whyās the mermaid clinging to the wrong blond noble??!?!?!?
Cavendish eventually comes to the conclusion that no matter how pretty she looks, the mermaid is still a nasty pirate at heart. Even so, heāll accept her as his fan, no matter how tsundere she is, because heās open-hearted like that. Fine, he sighs dramatically, heāll help Trafalgar. Just for you, Princess. SIGH.
And then Luffy beams at him and goes, Youāre a good guy, Cabbage! before shooting off to beat Doflamingo.
And Cavendish is just sitting there wondering why his heartās suddenly pounding so hard, because heās certainly had much nicer praise, from much finer ladies, but Youāre a Good Guy, Youāre a Good Guy, Cabbage, Cabbage, CABBAGE--
An ungrateful, half-dead Trafalgar looks up at Cavendish and suddenly looks even more exhausted and miserable than before as he groans, Not You Too.
