Indian Methanol prices
Methanol trading activity in Mumbai remained under pressure this week as prices weakened further from recent highs. The domestic market registered a weekly decline of Rs 3.25/kg, with spot levels settling at Rs 70.25/kg compared with Rs 73.50/kg in the previous assessment. Indian Methanol prices have shown increased volatility during the last month, especially after touching elevated levels close to Rs 79.00/kg before entering the current correction phase.
The recent decline follows a monthly fall of Rs 7.75/kg, although fortnightly movement still reflects a gain from Rs 64.00/kg recorded two weeks earlier. Market participants continue tracking fluctuations linked to changing procurement patterns and regional demand conditions. Over the broader three-month period, prices advanced sharply from Rs 30.25/kg, indicating substantial recovery momentum despite recent weakness. Support for the market is currently seen near Rs 64.00/kg, while resistance remains around Rs 73.50/kg. Indian Methanol prices also continue to trade considerably above the six-month average of Rs 37.00/kg, suggesting stronger long-term positioning. Methanol prices in India are therefore being watched closely by traders evaluating near-term stability and supply trends across western India, Methanol, Mumbai Market, Price Correction, Cautious Buying, Chemical Market.
