Charley brushed dirt from her jeans, as she listened to the strange man she had come across. Looking around the area, she noted the lack of tracks around the man; making her wonder where he’d come from to land there.
Did he fall through an anomaly? That would explain the lack of tracks, but there didn’t seem to be any other landscape displacement to indicate that either.
“Um I guess?” she answered, with a hint of uncertainty in her voice. “Where did you come from? Your clothing is… different…”
“What?”
Rip looked down at himself, ignoring the crick in his neck and how that howled, good grief, and then back up at the girl in question. “It’s... are you opposed to my coat?”
He moved to sit up, his spine making the worst little cracking noises in succession as he rose, and Rip bit the inside of his cheek to keep from making a sound. He was thankful, certainly, that time travelling had made him a bit more physically durable, but that didn’t make this whole ordeal any less of a bitch than it was.
“I was born in East London, if that answers your concern.”
