Does anyone else ever think about the fact that when lists of magical items are made, salt is often grouped in with the herbs and such and not.... the crystals? It's not like it really matters, I just find it amusing

I'm making it my mission to "complete" a grimoire this year.
Now I know that's a loaded sentence lol, but what I mean by that is I want to finish a grimoire that has all my basics, and could potentially be used to help teach someone.
I've been thinking a lot about generational knowledge and such recently, and I just want to start keeping records and books that can be used for just that. Maybe that's just me being a sap.
Man, I am constantly frustrated with myself for not having the attention span I used to. Both short term and long term. I can't focus on books like I used to, and I sure as hell can't build routines like I used to. I don't even know how to fix it either.
Like take this blog for instance. I know it takes time to build friendships and curate my feed and all that. I used to spend hours on this site. Now I feel like I forget that site exists every few weeks, no matter the fact that I know interacting with my blog and witchcraft content brings me so much joy, and makes me feel better. But no matter how much I enjoy it, my brain won't make it a routine.
Anyway, guess who's back lol
I will share more pictures when it’s 100% complete but I’m too excited not to share.
Look at how his garland is turning out 😭
Featuring dried apple and orange slices, and homemade paper chain but made with wired ribbon, and homemade mushrooms made out of dried orange peel and little sticks.
I’m adding more citrus and a popcorn garland tomorrow, and then attempt to make some centerpiece with foraged fir boughs. We’ll see if the snow holds off long enough for me to get the branches 🤞
Okay folks, I'm asking for recommendations again.
Long story short, I lost all but like 5 of my staple witchcraft books about 3 years ago. And, if I'm being quite honest, I've been putting off rebuying old ones or getting new ones. I couldn't tell you why, but it feels like a heavy task.
That being said I would like to try starting to buy some new books, and filling out my library again. I'd like to see pictures of your favorite books, author recommendations, or even online shops you have had luck finding good books from! Tell me your staples, holy grails, niche books. Everything. I miss having my library.

Nothing like a simple conversation to send you down a whole rabbit hole of research.
Unrelated, I am almost ashamed of myself for going this long and knowing very little about the sun's correspondences 😅 I can tell you a lot about the moon, but next to nothing about the sun magically.
Do No Harm In The Modern World
How to navigate the Trifold law in a modern world.
In a world so heated, with so much conflict, how is a witch supposed to "Do No Harm" and feel confident about their contribution to the world? Here we are going to delve into what the trifold law means, and how it's a tool to help us fight the good fight.
(Now, before we go any further, this is a reminder that the trifold law is not for everyone. Not everyone holds this belief, and that is totally okay. For those who do, however, this could be helpful!)
The Wiccan Rede, and the trifold law
The Wiccan Rede is an incantation often used as initiation into Wicca, but you may see this part of the Rede quoted elsewhere
"Bide the Wiccan Law we Must, In perfect love, in perfect trust. Eight words the Wiccan Rede fulfill: An ye harm none, do as ye will. And ever mind the Rule of Three: What ye send out comes back in three Follow this with mind and heart, And merry ye meet, and merry ye part."
Now, those eight words, "an ye harm none, do as ye will", are pretty straight forward. Do what you wish, as long as you don't harm anyone or anything is the process. And The Rule of Three is the idea that every action you make, positive or negative, will come back to you in threes.
The Misconception
Many people send to see these words and think that it means you need to keep their hands completely clean, only practice white magic, and stay all "peace and love." This ends up make you turn your back to things that could really use our help.
Here is My Argument.
Letting hate stand, turning your back and "doing no harm" when someone is putting harm into the world, you are letting that harm continue... which is still causing a net harm in the world. Being complacent to harm is just as harmful. We need to start taking a stand together. Start standing up for the hurt, the broken, and the weak.
Now, I want to clarify. If you can't, that's totally fine. This is not to say that every single witch needs to be ready everything single time a bad man needs hexing. Some of us simply aren't cut out for that.
So "do no harm", sure. But if someone is harming someone you love, or a community you hold dearly, you can rest easy knowing that dark magic in that case may be exactly what is needed.
Looking for following recommendations
Hey all! I'm really trying to widen my horizons on tumblr, both in a magical sense and in other ways as well
I'm looking for blogs that share:
-Witchcraft education
-Witchy memes
-Leftist content (Witchy or not)
-Cooking
-Maine/New England/Northerncore
-Fishing/Hiking/Foraging/Outdoorsy stuff
Or anything that would fall in between those topics! If that sound like you please like or reblog so I can get my feed looking a little more like home.
