SHREDDED BARK TEA: A BOTANICAL SEX DRINK Used in its native South America as an aphrodisiac and stimulant, catuaba is sometimes claimed to address poor memory and forgetfulness. The word itself apparently means "what gives strength to an Indian".
Use as a nootropic requires repeated and regular intake, which is outside my scope. However, on a single use as tea I experienced a pleasant low level stimulation, some appetite suppression and minor aphrodisiacal properties. Note that with respect to the latter I have in fact seen it referred to as a sex drink.
A slight subsequent headache probably indicated that I drank too much.
Overall I found this to be this was quite pleasant, albeit a little tricky in terms of establishing a safe yet effective dose.
