So I used to have a page of notes on owls that I have no idea where it went... On this page of notes I distinctly remember ties to Skadi and it wasn’t just owls living in the mountains there was more to it than that. I will continue to look through what I have but I remember the scraps of information I found on owls were by chance looking at something totally different. So it may be a while before I find the info again but in the meantime,Skadi was the major connection I recall. Jennebert in one paper iirc correctly mentions eagle owls buried in a falconer’s grave which may also suggest a connection to Ullr via hunting.

One of my sister’s history teachers, called Mr. Gilbert, was asked to leave the country along with the rest of his family by June 2018 because of new and horrible immigration laws, and I really don’t want that to happen! My brilliant sister made a petition to our senators (we’re from NJ) that summarizes the problem better than I can:

“Both teachers, he and his wife have submitted applications for green cards and both have not been successful. His children were born in the United States, but we are worried about what this could mean for his family. Mr. Gilbert is a beloved teacher among our school community and he contributes incredibly unique perspectives to each and every one of his classes. “

The thing is, he’s a history teacher that actively makes sure every voice is heard and every story is told, and he doesn’t erase minorities or their struggles when he does so. I’ve seen his impact and I can tell you we need people like him especially in times like these to keep our forces aligned and strong. So please,
