Don’t throw the Holy Water
So summer 2019 I was traveling in Europe with some friends of mine from Spain. As we were sightseeing, one of the very fancy churches was doing Stations of the Cross. They hadn’t started yet so we went in to participate. (The friends’ mother and I are Catholic, but the friends are not and don’t know how to act) So we start doing it, and as we move on to the second station while singing, I turn around and my friends are elbowing each other. I ignore it and keep trying to focus. Anyway, the sixth station rolls around and Friend 1 legitimately *shouts* “Don’t you dare-” I whirl around and Friend 1 has been doused with Holy Water and Friend 2 is standing there just laughing...the whole church had to stop Stations for a good 8 minutes and Friends 1 and 2 were promptly escorted out...
