The places that in which I face the greatest resistance... Lord, I know You are there. You catch me before I fall. You give me peace and strength beyond my own understanding. My limits, I know them and so do you. You know my fears and my worries. The fires that I am afraid to go near and desire to go around. But these fires can't be avoided without their spread. And in order to extinguish them, they have to be entered into. You stand not only on the other side, but with me... and you walk with me into the fire. You do not abandon me. As for my fears and worries, You do not hold them against me, but say "I understand, but do not be afraid, for I have conquered them all." And as for my limits, He says "in your weakness, I am strong." It isn't to belittle me, but in truth I am only a speck in the vast expanse of the Universe. And the Lord molded the Heavens and Earth with His hands, and chose that amidst all the gorgeous waterfalls, stars in the skies, and beautiful rains that fall and feed into the lush mountains, He calls me, you, us, very good. With the weakness He gifted us - He shames the lofty and the oppressing and brings the self-mighty to naught, and says, YES, even in this pain and strife that one calls weakness, there IS beauty there, there is hope there, there is LOVE there; something worth keeping, treasuring, protecting, dying for. And I have. And I will do it again. Her weakness, her traumas, her "past" shall be a beacon of hope - a testament to the tired and weary that there is redemption, a chance to smile again and feel the warmth of a sunrise on one's face again. The darkness finds its ending, for it hath not overcome the light. The dawn shall come.
He does not leave us in our weakness. He is not repulsed by it. He holds it tenderly in His hands, breathes life into it, sings over it and warms it with His love. He does not destroy it, but makes it into a new beautiful creation. Or, He keeps it as it is, but reveals the wonder that could not be seen by the eyes of the world. And He says, "I love you. I am not going anywhere. The things you endure are tough, very hard... but you are stronger yet. If you will let me share my strength with you, or would like me to - I would like to help you in this campaign, to carry this burden... and even do greater things than even this... I love you, and my heart, my breath, my Spirit, is yours, if you will have Them."
Peace be with you my dearly beloved. I hope that you may see a little more of how precious you truly are. Blessings & love to you.
