I absolutely love your work! You are so creative and your style is amazing. I have a question, as an artist how did you learn painting lineless so well? That is something that I struggle with and would love to get better at so I wanted to ask. :3
Hi! Thank you so much for liking my work. I've done a lot of painting and drawing, and the lineless style is something that evolved from my own preferences. One thing I noticed while making digital art is that I prefer to just works in blocks of color like I do when painting. I took a lot of classes as a child/teenager and also studied art for 4 years in college, so I've spent hundreds (maybe even thousands) of hours to get to where I am now: learning how to draw and oil paint from life, drawing inspiration from peers and role models, figuring out my own digital approach.
I think anyone can get better at art with a combination of the right guidance and putting in the time. I wouldn't have gotten to where I am without having been taught by my teachers, nor would I have gotten to where I am without doing explorations on my own time. I wish there was a more simple answer, but that would discredit how complicated it was to get to where I am now.
I recommend classes for anyone who wants to build a stronger foundation, and also drawing from life on your own time. I once posted some of the "traditional" stuff I did over here: https://twitter.com/wynthiacang/status/1313345290787794944 and if you scroll down my instagram (https://www.instagram.com/wynthiacang/) you can see some of the progression that happened. I hope to continue to improve for the rest of my life!! Best of luck to you and everyone out there working on their art :)
