Something I've been struggling with for a while is seeing God the Father as a Person. Yes, I know He's a Person intellectually but its been hard to wrap my mind around. It's hard to see something that is completely outside of time and space, has no body, and is everywhere at the same time as a Person rather than an impersonal force or energy.
The way I've started seeing it that helps a lot for me is comparing it to dreaming. So when you are dreaming, everything in the dream is aware to you at every moment. Your consciousness is omnipresent in the dream. Yet "you" don't exist in the dream, "you" exist completely outside of the dream. The dream only exists because and while you are dreaming it.
God is sort of like the 'dreamer' and the 'dream' is not only fully real but is being created by God willfully at every moment.
