November 12th- Favorite line from Fangirl 🗣 “Just... isn't giving up allowed sometimes? Isn't it okay to say, ‘This really hurts, so I’m going to stop trying’?” “It sets a dangerous precedent.” “For avoiding pain?” “For avoiding life.” There are a lot of beautiful, touching, soft and or funny lines in Fangirl, but this exchange is my favorite. Also, it makes me so happy to see all of the other participants’ photos in this challenged. I feel like we’re a part of something; kindred spirits. 💗I love Fangirl so much, and it’s because I’ve read so many books that are about girls who are brave, cunning, strong and born leaders (which is important 💪),but Fangirl was the first book that I’ve read in which the main character was someone like me. Cath Avery is cautious and sensitive, she makes mistakes and she’s “very active in the fandom”. Also, she’s the first character I’ve ever read that has an anxiety disorder and that made me feel less alone in the world, which is a huge deal for me. I see so many parallels between myself and Cath; I wish I could give her a hug.
