The eggy has hatched!! Catterkitten reached!!
A soft squeaking sound - a wobble - White Hat startled out of his doze, uncurling as the egg he’d been nurturing safe in his nest began to hatch. Starry-eyed, he cradled it in his hands, breath baited as he watched cracks race across the shell - a shell he’d keep, in one form or another, a memento of the first egg he’d tended that actually hatched.
His features spread in a wide, wobbly grin, White Hat crooned to the wriggling, purple fluff-bean that emerged blinkingly into the open air - still so small, but with the potential to grow so much... That little innocent face, the look of unconditional adoration - he was overcome, welling up. He held the caterkitten close as the small one chirped for food, and stepped out of the nest into his room, where Slug was waiting with all the food he thought either of them could need. “Welcome to life, Noe~”
