Sorry for the unexpected hiatus! I took a literal last minute trip to Michigan for a week to see my sister and her husband (literally, I booked the flight as I was logging off from work and booked it to the airport. I got to my gate just as they were beginning to board).
I saw all the great things you guys tagged me in, and I’ll respond as I can on my flight back home. I’m gonna be working diligently to get the next chapter of Something Like a Star written for tomorrow, but Canary and the Coal Mine might have to wait a few days. I’ll keep y’all updated!

I am so sorry it's been like... four years? Even longer since I actually updated... yeesh. I'm so sorry. I posted a sort of long winded explanation about the last few years here, for those curious, but also wanted to put something more personal here for those of you that still keep tabs on this story.
I don't want to beat around the bush: there's a good chance I won't be updating CATCM for a while, if ever. While I have Jamie's story planned out through Dean leaving the WWE (like I said on my main post, I had some problems with getting a bit too into my stories...), it's not only hard for me to write Jamie the way I used to - I'm also not really into the WWE fandom anymore.
Dean leaving WWE definitely didn't help, but the last couple years of wrestling just haven't felt the same to me. Though I watch a bit of AEW from time to time, it's at the point where I have no idea who anyone on the roster is outside of like, Seth and Roman and Becky. I think. It's harder for me to get the older episodes I need for these chapters the way I used to (I'm still bitter about the WWE Network), and really, my heart just isn't totally in it.
Also, I lost a big chunk of stuff I had planned thanks to my laptop giving out on me (legit, I lost like six months worth of the outline, which is a lot when there's like two episodes a week, plus PPV's) and that really took me out for a while.
That being said, I do want to try and bring her an end. I've been writing her since 2016 and I feel I owe it to her and to all of you to at least finish out this storyline. I'm going to try and get to Wrestlemania, and while there's a chance I may continue her story if I can get into it once again, I plan to end her story there.
I know it's probably not the update you wanted, but I've left you all hanging long enough that I wanted to give you something. I may end up posting the plans I have so you know where I wanted to take her, and honestly, if anyone wanted to continue writing Jamie I'd be glad to talk about that option too!
For now, know that I see you all, I've read your amazing messages, and the love you've had for Jamie for over a decade means SO much to me. Truly. I hope to at least bring her a well-earned end, if nothing else.

Hey there darlin! I’m so sorry for the late reply. The main model I use is Ellie Ottaway (now Ellie Josi)! She was the inspiration for Jamie and I use her 99% of the time. However for the CATCM banner the creator used Lindsay Marie Brewer and I definitely see her as Jamie a bit too! If you do make something understand I will love you forever and won’t be able to thank you enough! ❤️❤️
kay that CM post about Luke wanting just one normal dinner, I love it but think of this: Brie during all the family dinners that turn into fights with Jamie and Bryan and the others! I just picture her face down on the table muttering "just one dinner... just ONE dinner..." as Bryan and Jamie scream at each other in the middle of the restaurant 😂😂😂

Okay I just caught up with Canary and the Coal Mine (is it CATCM??) and can I just say Dean calling pancakes 'breakfast frisbes' FUCKING SENT ME OKAY?! I legit laughed so hard I cried omg! the whole breakfast scene is probably my favorite scene in the entire story so far. BREAKFAST FRISBEES. 😂😂😂
