Obsessed with the idea of catboy John. Just a stray Dutch picked up who is a wild kitten at first but matures a little as he grows up. His favorite person is Arthur and he purrs to him, rubs on him, brings him food, and tends to tackle him 🤣 he also sleeps buried in Arthur's blankets. Arthur finds it a bit annoying but also endearing. After all, no one else meets him when he comes back from a job or hunting with a happy "mrrp!" and a bottle of whiskey.
John melts when Arthur scratches his ears. When he's in trouble, Arthur tugs his tail. It hurts but John kind of likes it, too. ;) John's favorite food is fish and if he can get it, milk. He can be very clingy at times. On cold nights he practically crawls into Arthur's lap to stay warm.
John's claws are sharp and an excellent weapon should he be disarmed. He sees well in the dark, though after the wolf attack his left eye goes half-blind and he can no longer see quite as well. Besides his scars, one of his ears is ragged on the edge. John can hear and smell better than an average human.
It takes an embarrassingly long time for Arthur to realize John is in love with him. He doesn't figure it out until he's recovering from being tortured by Colm. John spends all his time at Arthur's bedside, purring in hopes of soothing him, cleaning his wounds, and wiping his face with a cool cloth. When Arthur realizes it, he's a bit confused - John is a man and a cat besides, wouldn't he rather marry a cat girl and raise kittens? But no, John has no interest in that.
The gang falls apart, Arthur and John manage to escape. They end up in Canada where the winters are cold but no one knows them. They live quietly in a cabin in the woods and their relationship blossoms into love.
