Nous nous écartons quelque peu de notre route le lendemain pour voir Bahía de Los Angeles, sur la côte est de la péninsule. Il s’agit d’une petite ville extrèmement tranquille, au bord d’une très jolie plage. Après une pause baignade, nous repartons vers le nord, et arrivons en début d’après-midi dans le village de Cataviña, après avoir encore traversé les paysages les plus surprenants. Nous passons la journée dans un petit ranch en bois de cactus, et campons le soir dans le désert. Nous avons droit à un incroyable coucher de soleil suivi d’un magnifique ciel étoilé.
Day 4 - Catavina to Bahia de Los Angeles
We spent the morning in Catavina, exploring the giant boulders, chasing lizards. I did a little bit of climbing. We heard about petroglyphs in the area and we set out to find them, in the process we found a geodesic dome.
A little further down the road we found the petroglyphs, after a short hike.
After a while of exploring the petroglyphs and reading signs in spanish making up the translations, it was time to get back on the road for Bahia de Los Angeles! This will be our first chance to get to the Sea of Cortez!
