Windsonde Cat Feature - Manx/Cymric

The Manx cat is characterized by its lack of a tail, which gives it a slightly bear-like appearance. The hind legs are slightly longer than the front legs, and the body is round overall.

Believed to have originated hundreds of years ago on the Isle of Man, possibly brought there originally by Vikings.

The tailessness is caused by a dominant gene that, when a kitten possesses two copies of, can cause spinal issues that often lead to death soon after birth, if not before.

Manx is the name given to a shorthair cat of this type, and Cymric is the name given to a longhair cat of this type.

Manx/Cymric come in all colors and patterns.

There is currently one manx in Windsonde; Deepfade’s Talib in Grandesque.
