Man, I stopped working on Cat Comixz at the perfect time.
Looking back at the remaining comic ideas, it's clear to me that I used up all of the best ones.
Plus, working on continuous stories has proven to be so much more rewarding. Being able to really develop characters and events over time has been awesome.
I appreciate all that Cat Comixz helped me learn, but I've REALLY started to get better ever since it finished.

The first time I drew Leon was back in 2008. I was in middle school at the time. He was originally meant to be fanart of Leo from VG Cats, but I decided to take things in a different direction.
I have a million and one good memories thinking back to Cat Comixz when I was first starting out, but also a few not-so-great ones.
One thing I remember was just kind of... deciding that I’d never be a good enough artist to justify even a side-career in art. Around the mid-point of my sophomore year of high school, I focused on studying Psychology and working on my grades.
I don’t necessarily regret doing that, mind you, but in a few years time I’d eventually discover that while I would occasionally browse information about Psychology, I never stopped thinking about my comic ideas.
Now I’m dedicating myself to learning my craft (and others!) and I couldn’t be more happy that I chose to do so. Nothing feels quite as fulfilling to me as creating.
It’s overwhelming to think about all of the things I still need to work on. I regret much of the time lost which could have been put towards learning things I’m only really just getting to now. It’s disheartening to think about all of the stories I may never get to.
But still, I’m overjoyed to be making art. It warms my heart seeing that I have improved. It’s an exciting feeling to focus on things that make me feel so happy.
Thank you, Cat Comixz, for setting me on a path to realizing exactly what it is I love.
It’s still utterly bizarre to me that Cat Comixz only wrapped up a year and two months ago.
Like, I’ve done SO. MUCH. since then. CC feels like something that existed forever ago, yet... it’s barely been any time whatsoever.
I keep kicking myself for all I fail to do artistically, but looking back, I think I’ve grown the most since finishing it. I’ve started Key to the Future’s Fate, begun a tabletop campaign, finished my book, and all of the other stuff I’ve just started to realize I’ve done in such a relatively short time.
I hope this feeling continues on in the future.

One of the things I was thinking of doing with Key to the Future's Fate was possibly giving the characters and backgrounds a differing outline style so that they would contrast one another well, but also each look good in their own way.
On the other hand, I'm also worried that a disparity between the two would be distracting. Admittedly, even I find it a little out of place, but I don't know.
I asked some questions with this, so please tell me what you all think!

I'm ace/aro so I dunno how to answer the dating sim question but I feel like Leon's arc would probably be the most entertaining.
Probably. He’s kind of vain, but he can open up a bit. You’d certainly never be bored with him. Plus in canon he ends up in a poly relationship so he certainly has alot of love to give. Seeing him go from a prideful doofus to a genuinely caring doofus is a fun thing to think about.
