     The argument was light, unfocused as to what caused what; fallen on to lips which spoke slurred and drunken words and banter. The night hadn’t been ordinary; kicked out of one bar because they ran off last time before their tab was paid (another narrow escape thanks to Emi), and kicked out of another because of their noise level (What did they know anyways? But for once they paid their tab). Yet for them, the words thrown back and forth were jump-roping the line between drunkenly serious and soberly playful. A third time at a bar in the middle of the first too, why they hadn’t come here before was beyond him.    “You’re not so tall.” The blonde leans over his figure, knees pressed on the cushion of the semi-open booth they were both seated in. She’s taller than him at this angle; meanwhile he was part slouched over the table with Emi’s hands resting upon his closest shoulder to keep her steady. He couldn’t help but laugh, a muffled undercurrent of sound rising forth which in the end rang a little too loudly. The shots of whiskey and tequila were a pleasant mix of warmth, spinning his head with nothing but amusement for this whole situation.     “Yea, I know—-” He eases himself back up, standing in between booth-couch and the table littered with their drinks. Her placement on his shoulder falling loose, if only to be caught once more in his own grasp as the brunet turns towards her by the inches it takes. Fingertips curl around those small wrists, holding her arms in place. The distance between the two was already close, it only takes another short step to remove the space almost completely.      His lips meet her forehead, over loose strands of her hair. It was where she was in his peripheral; a quick almost peck, almost kiss blurred by the lines of tipsiness he’s crossed during the span of the night. It’s with a moment that he parts, digits uncurling from his hold on her, and a smile so smugly painted on his features. "But at least I'm taller than you."
