“....I know.” Cassie softly sniffles

There’s a little wince as he finishes wrapping the bandage around her hand. It wasn’t a bad burn, but it still required some ointment and to be wrapped up. The tiny robotic project and “borrowed“ tools still lay on the floor where she had been sat working. She had just been trying to make a frog that could move from all of the scrap….she’s not entirely sure what she did wrong enough for her hand to get a little injury.

I started reading Best Laid Plans last night and DIED when I realized there’s no new updates.

Are you done with the story? Should I give up hope?

There’s a small sniffle from the girl, hand trying to wipe away at the mix of grime and slight bits of blood she’s collected throughout the night as light tears get added to the mixture. She thinks of a few things. Her mother she never got to meet, her father who she’s starting to suspect may not come back home, and of Gregory who might have tried to-. Cassie’s mouth tastes of iron and something sour. Something that aches. and threatens to rot till its all thats left.

Cassie was having an utterly terrible day. It started out great, managing to get a prize plushy of toy foxy, Roxy was her favorite but she could appreciate the classics, from the claw machine in the arcade. She had been found by a certain group of her kids from her school though….and now here she was. A small bruise on her chin and the torn remains of her prize clutched in her hands. She had run off to a part of the mall for staff and animatronics only, just wanting some sort of peace. 

Quickly trying to dry her eyes on her sweater at the sound of approaching footsteps, but then a voice and….oh….oh it’s just Monty.

“I….s-sorry..I….I just g-g.”

A small gasp, and excited little rock on her heels. 

“Was it big? Little? Oh oh! Was it all grey like Roxy?”

When I can make my brain do the writing, yes! They're my favorite thing to write. It's just really hard when there's a lack of feedback because then my brain goes "oh, I'm not getting the dopamine, it's not worth the effort of writing the words, formatting the fic, putting out the trigger warning" and all that, so I just imagine things in my head instead. When I have someone that actually talks the plot with me and helps me through the blocks and shit...when I have people as excited as I am about what I'm doing...I'm more likely to get it done.
